Independence Day Parade - Show Low

The annual Show Low Independence Day Parade was a celebration of our nation’s independence and a powerful moment of unity and reflection on the blessings we have in this nation. With several thousand people in attendance, the parade route was filled with the sounds of “God Bless America” playing from the loudspeaker atop our bus, a stirring reminder of our need for God in this nation.

Amist the vibrant display of red, white, and blue, Your Celebration Radio Network’s presence brought a humble call to prayer. Displayed prominently on the side of our bus was Second Chronicles 7:14: “If my people... pray.” This verse reminds us that nothing will impact our nation more profoundly than the body of Christ calling on God in prayer!

God calls us, His people, to engage in His work. From the beginning, God established an order of rule in the Garden of Eden, stating, “Let them have dominion... over all the earth.” When Adam and Eve sinned, they forfeited their authority, and Satan became the “god of this world.” However, Jesus’ death and resurrection usurped Satan’s power, as described in Colossians 2:13-15: “...having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”

The battle continues today, with Satan spreading lies and deceit, blinding the world from the truth of God’s salvation and kingdom authority for mankind. It’s going to take a collective turning of hearts to God in prayer, repentance for the wickedness allowed in our hearts and in our nation, and a humble admission of our need for God to bring the healing so desperately needed in our nation.

As promised in Second Chronicles 7:14: “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways (condition), then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land (promise).”

When these conditions are met, God is faithful to deliver on His promise. This is the hope we have!
